Oakridge – Jason Shelley
"Thank you for the generous grant. We are very excited to be able to provide our students the the devices they need to communicate.  The grant will be used to purchase specific students communication devices such as an italk 2 that helps in making choices.  There will even be a machine that has 100 prerecorded vocabulary words.  Devices like that help the student talk using words any other students use to talk about every day activities.  This will make it possible to support the language development of many of our students.  Thanks again!" exclaimed Jason Shelley.

Oakridge – Tasha Lewis & Paul Daybell
Tasha Lewis, teacher at Oakridge, said, “While working on the classroom goals each day the students can experience controlled bouncing and vertical movement to redirect their attention to their work.  The swing and stimulation device will provide the student with sensory needs to help them better focus, and have less behavior issues.  They love the new swings, thank you so much.”

We just love this program, and the Oakridge Students enjoy taking care of the pigs and interacting with SHS students.

Oakridge Could Use Your Help!!!

Christmas is a favorite time of year for Oakridge School because of our annual Christmas play. It is performed by our students and wonderful students from Springville High School. We need help raising money to help pay for supplies needed to create the wonderful costumes, backdrops & stage props. We will be silent auctioning off 3 theme baskets before the Christmas Play. We would appreciate donations for these baskets. Check out the flier for ideas of items to donate. Donations can be dropped off at Oakridge School.
