Oakridge Fundraiser Auction Huge Success

Submitted by teresa.gordon on

On Saturday, April 27th the Oakridge School Community Council held the most profitable  Fundraiser to date! The auction netted over $6500.00 with a generous benefactor matching the proceeds from the auction.

Patrons had a chance to eat lunch and view the items prior to the auction. With an estimated 75 people in attendance the auction got started. You could feel the electricty in The Springville High School cafeteria as Auctioneer Ty Tingey got the bidding started. The air was filled with excitement as family and friends bid against one another in eager anticipation of their coveted item.

Items auctioned included a flat screen TV, Little Giant Ladder, MityLite chairs, original artwork by local artists, jewelry, gift cards, as well as a host of many other great items.

We would like to thank the businesses and individuals who donated items to this worthy cause.  Also to the parents and friends and family who came to support our school. The generosity of those who came to support our school  is truly overwhelming. 100% of the money raised will be used towards items of greatest need for our students and to assist with their Idividual Education Plans.

Last but not least, a great big thank you to Heather Ash, SCC member for her dedication in making this a profitable and enjoyable event.  Heather was relentless in securing items for the auction. She went above and beyond with her time and commitment to this event. We Wish to thank everyone who helped with their time, their money or any other service they may have provided for the great event. A fun time was had by all!
