Field Trip to Provo Rec Center

Every Friday the students at Oakridge School take a field trip. The students are bussed to the Provo Rec Center and to BYU for Gym Kids. The students are helped with these activities by their teachers and technicians as well as BYU students and parents.

We are so excited to start the new year! Our enrollment is up and we have several new faces at Oakridge.

Tasha Lewis is the newest teacher at Oakridge. Tasha has been with Nebo School District for eight years. She previously worked as a Sp. Ed teacher at Salem Elementary. Tasha is married and has two children. She enjoys camping, 4-wheeling and reading.

Oakridge Student Shows Lamb at Stock Show

For the past several weeks Wesley Brailsford, a student at Oakridge School has been enthusiastically anticipating the Spanish Fork Stock Show. On Friday, May 3rd Wesley donned an FFA jacket and showed his lamb in the Senior Showmanship Class with the help of his peer tutor Ashley Endicott, a student at Springville High School.

Oakridge School Fundraiser Auction

The parents of Oakridge School will be holding a Fundraiser Auction, Saturday, April 27th in the Springville High School Cafeteria. the live auction begins at 11:00 AM. This play was written by Jason Shelley, Nebo School District Speech Language Pathologist and SLP for Oakridge School. The play is directed by Kami Sumsion a student at Springville High School. The play is about a Zoo that is closing and how the animals fight to keep the zoo open. The students at Oakridge School who are developmentally disabled will perform their parts with the assistance of the Springville Student body council. This is Oakridge School's sixth annual Christmas play. Admission is free.
