The Nebo School District is celebrating National School Breakfast week March 3-March 7.
The Nebo School District is celebrating National School Breakfast week March 3-March 7. The 2014 theme for this annual event is "Take Time for School Breakfast". On Monday, Mayor Steve Leifson will join the students at Rees Elementary for breakfast and read the official proclamation to open the week's events. Throughout the week we have numerous activities including prize giveaways in the cafeterias and both a school and district-wide art contest. Students can enter their school's art contest for a small prize.
Oakridge School 2nd Annual Live Auction Fundraiser
On Monday. March 17, 2017 Oakridge school will hold its 2nd Annual Live Auction Fundraiser. The Auction will be held in the Springville High School cafeteria. The Doors open at 5 PM for dinner, bake sale and item preview. Please join us for a fun filled night. All proceeds will go towards much needed equipment for the students.
Oakridge Students Participate in FFA and 4H
Several students from Oakridge School are participating in the Springville High School chapter of the FFA and 4-H. Wesley Brailsford and Bailey Wall will each work closely with a high school student who will help them get their pigs ready for the Livestock Show.
Three students are participating in 4-H. They are Gabriel and Faith Sackett and Chase Sundet. These three students will also work with a high school partner to get their pigs ready for the Livestock Show.
Cupid Visits Oakridge School on Valentine's Day
A surprise visit was made to by Cupid (aka) Coutney Morton. Cupid came bearing four boxes of donuts for the staff.
Valentine Party at Oakridge
On Thursday the Oakridge students celebrated Valentine's. The students enjoyed playing Bingo, decorating cookies and painting.
Preschool Testing at Oakridge
Every Monday Oakridge School buzzes with the pitter patter of small feet. On Mondays Audiologist Dallin Millington, tests the hearing and vision of preschool aged children. Dixie Spressor and Norma Goddard are also on hand to assess cognitive skills. This is the first stop in the process to see if a child qualifies for Special Ed services. Nebo School District provides pre-school service at no charge to developmentally delayed eligible children with severe disabilites.
Job Shadow at Oakridge School
Tuesday, February 4th was Job Shadow day through out the district. Jason Shelley, Speech Language Pathologist at Oakridge School was shadowed by his son Jaden. Jaden, said " I had fun and liked working and playing with the kids".
Literacy at Oakridge
Every Tuesday the students at Oakridge gather together in the multi-purpose room for a literacy class. The staff help the students in making choices to participate in the activities.
