Oakridge Students Prepare for Spanish Fork Stock Show

For the past few months four Oakridge students from Tasha Lewis' class have been working everyday with their pigs to prepare for the Spanish Fork Stock show. The students have mentors from Springville High School FFA who help them with their pigs.

 These four students will be showing their pigs on Wed and Thurs, April 30 and May 1  from 5-10 PM. The sale will be on Saturday, May 3rd at 10AM. 

Cooking at Oakridge

One day a week the students at Oakridge participate in a cooking class. The students get hands on experience learning how to cook with the aid of their teachers and the technicians. 

Oakridge and FFA

On Thursday March 27 several Oakridge students participated in the Springville High FFA School Booster Banquet & Auction. Chase Sundet, Wesley Brailsford, Faith Sackett and Bailey Wall participated in the event. Wesley Brailsford and Bailey Wall received their FFA jackets donated by SHS FFA advisor Monica Giffing. The students received an FFA shirt and patch. 

Fundraiser Great Success

The Oakridge School Live Auction Fundraiser held Monday, March 17 was a great success. With close to 200 items donated by merchants and individuals from all over Utah County and Salt Lake, the cafeteria at SHS was packed with everything from art Work, gift baskets, and other large items and gift certificates.  The evening was geared up to meet everyones expectations and excitement! The evening began with customers previewing the items for auction. The pulled pork dinner donated my Smith's Grocery store in Payson, fed close to 100 people.

The Nebo School District is celebrating National School Breakfast week March 3-March 7.

The Nebo School District is celebrating National School Breakfast week March 3-March 7. The 2014 theme for this annual event is "Take Time for School Breakfast". On Monday, Mayor Steve Leifson will  join the students at Rees Elementary for breakfast and read the official proclamation to open the week's events. Throughout the week we have numerous activities including prize giveaways in the cafeterias and both a school and district-wide art contest. Students can enter their school's art contest for a small prize. The winner at each school will then be submitted to the district-wide contest.

Oakridge School 2nd Annual Live Auction Fundraiser

On Monday. March 17, 2017 Oakridge school will hold its 2nd Annual Live Auction Fundraiser. The Auction will be held in the Springville High School cafeteria. The Doors open at 5 PM for dinner, bake sale and item preview. Please join us for a fun filled night. All proceeds will go towards much needed equipment for the students.

Oakridge Students Participate in FFA and 4H

Several  students from Oakridge School are participating in the Springville High School chapter of the FFA and 4-H.  Wesley Brailsford and Bailey Wall will each work closely with a high school student who will help them get their pigs ready for the Livestock Show.

Three students are participating in 4-H. They are Gabriel and Faith Sackett and Chase Sundet. These three students will also work with a high school partner to get their pigs ready for the Livestock Show.
