Every school year students from various high schools in Nebo District sign up for work-based training internships at Oakridge School. The students are assigned a specific classroom in which to work with the developmentally disabled students at Oakridge. This semenster Lauren Wake and Brooke Kramer will be working with the students at Oakridge twice a week.
"We will develop and admisnister the educational programs and operations of Oakridge School to accomodate and mitigate the mental amd physical disabilities of our students. We will be mindful of the spirit within each student and conduct the affairs of the school treating these students with dignity, respect and positive expectations."
Once again the halls of Oakridge School are being traversed by the Seminary Students at Springville High School. These students are responsible for getting the disabled students to and from their classes at Oakridge to their seminary class at the High School. These high school students are always helpful and courteous and we appreciate their willingness to help their peers with disabilities.
