We had such a fun time decorating valentine boxes and putting Valentines in them! Thank you for everyone who sent valentines!
Shout out to the BYU student volunteers that have made it possible for us to go play at the gym and the swimming pool this year. The students LOVED the interaction with all their new friends. 1 2 3 GYM KITS!
We are getting excited as we prepare for our 3rd Annual Auction, but we need your help! If you work for, or know those who work for companies that would be willing to donate to our auction, please contact me at kjersti [dot] jones [at] nebo [dot] edu. We are looking for gift certificates, merchandise, gift baskets, tickets, free passes, cash donations, and anything else that would be of benefit to our auction.
The students have spent the last few afternoons working on crafts to welcome in the cold weather. The crafts have included snowglobes, marshmallow snowmen, paper plate snowmen, almost any kind of snowman you could imagine! Have fun playing in the snow!
Happy Birthday!!! He had a great day, especially getting one of his favorite car as a present. A Dogde Viper! He had fun celebrating by painting the door poster with his friend in the class.
Thank you for all your support as parents and family as we worked hard to put on our Annual Christmas Production, and a HUGE thank you to Jason, our speech therapist for the countless hours that he put into helping everything run smoothly. We also want to thank the SHS Student Council for all the lunches they spent with the students rehearsing lines and blocking! It was a huge success Monday night!
Here's a peek into some of the rehearsals.
Kathleen's class received a welcome surprise from Santa this week in preparation for Christmas. He checked up and down his list and all the students were on his nice list. Keep an eye out for Santa on Christmas morning!
We want to throw a shout-out to the new tech in Tasha's class, Chad. Welcome to Oakridge! The students love him!
The students at Oakridge were able to go to the Bean Museum at BYU today. There were lots of animals to see, but the live animal show was the favorite of the students! There were lots of laughs as the presentor brought around the live turtle, tarantula, and corn snake for the students to feel and see.
