The parents of Oakridge School will be holding a Fundraiser Auction, Saturday, April 27th in the Springville High School Cafeteria. the live auction begins at 11:00 AM. CHRISTMAS AT THE ZOO

This play was written by Jason Shelley, Nebo School District Speech Language Pathologist and SLP for Oakridge School. The play is directed by Kami Sumsion a student at Springville High School. The play is about a Zoo that is closing and how the animals fight to keep the zoo open. The students at Oakridge School who are developmentally disabled will perform their parts with the assistance of the Springville Student body council. This is Oakridge School's sixth annual Christmas play. Admission is free.

Halloween at Oakridge School

On Wednesday, October 31st Oakridge staff and students along with their parents celebrated  with a School Carnival in the multi-purpose room. The room was decorated by Brie Roberts, classoom mom in Laura Peery's class. The students enjoyed an afternoon of fun and games and treats. A beautiful but scary backdrop was painted by Noe Estrella so that students could have their pictures taken. A fun time was had by all.

Oakridge Olympics

With the school year well under way, there are many fun and exciting things going on at Oakridge. This past Friday, the staff and students celebrated with a first annual Olympic Games activity. The students participated in a Toss the Bean Bag (thru the Olypmic Rings), Cheeto Toss, and Diving (for a ball in a bowl of water) as well as a few other events. A fun time was had by all.

School Community Council

The School Community Council is a committee formed to help build consistent and effective communication among parents, employees and administrators. The Council allows parents an opportunity to be activly involved in their child's education through helping to establish and emplement educational goals. In this regard, the responsibilities of the School Community Council are advisory in nature. The authority of the Council does not supersede the authority of the principal, the superintendant or the Board of Education.

Oakridge Fundraiser Huge Success

If you missed Oakridge School's first annual school fundraiser featuring the Piano Guys, you missed an exhilarating and fun filled show. The crowd went wild at the first note from these two musical dynamos! The Piano Guys are a first class act who have become an overnight music sensation due to their populatity on You Tube. Their music ranges from classical numbers to their own original music that kept the audiance begging for more. "What do you get when you combine classical training, hip rhythms, keen song writing skills, slapstick comedy, and a little rock and roll? Jon Schmidt".

The Piano Guys To Play Benefit Concert at Oakridge School

On Thursday, April 19, 2012  at 7:00 PM the Piano Guys will perfom a benefit concert at the Springville High School Auditorium.  The Piano Guys is an American music duo consisting of Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson. They became famous through YouTube, where they posted videos of renditions and mashes of popular songs accompanied by professional looking video clips.
